The path to a climate-neutral construction industry by 2050
The overarching goal of Designed4Circularity remains clear: the EU should become climate-neutral by 2050. To achieve this, resources must be used more sustainably and CO2 emissions in the construction industry must be drastically reduced. The network is actively working to promote the reuse of materials and develop innovative product cycles. With the expansion to Canada, this project will be taken to a global level, opening up new markets and opportunities.
Why Canada? Now, with a clear focus on international expansion, the network is increasingly turning towards Canada - a country that has positioned itself as a pioneer in sustainable building and innovation in recent years. Canada not only impresses with its natural resources, but is also a pioneer in the field of green building. This expansion brings numerous benefits and will contribute significantly to developing global solutions to the challenges facing the construction industry.
The collaboration with the Canadian partners enables Designed4Circularity to apply research results in practice and drive innovation together.
